Adelaide Lawn Coring & Aeration
Lawn coring, or aeration, removes small plugs from the lawn, up to 70mm deep which appear as cores or plugs to improve the overall health of the grass. Lawn coring provides many benefits including:

- Reducing soil compaction.
- Allows more water, oxygen, and nutrients into the soil profile.

This results in increased root growth and depth, better drainage, and an all-round healthier and vibrant lawn.
Lawn Coring Equipment
Equipment used is a special machine, called an aerator. These can have solid tines, or hollow tines (coring) that remove small plugs of lawn.
​
Kizza's Coring operates a cam driven aerator, which provides tight spacings, depth, and less tearing of the turf compared to common drum aerators.
Lawn Coring Timing
A lawn can be aerated year round, however generally best times are from Spring through to mid - Autumn.
Lawn Aftercare
Once your lawn has been cored, the plugs can be left on the lawn to decompose and add vital microbes and nutrients back into the soil profile, or mowed/raked up.

A fertiliser, soil conditioner, or soil wetter application can be done immediately after an aeration for best results as the lawn can readily absorb more nutrients and water into the root system.
